  slow down\, get your hands inky\, experiment with texture and colour\, 
 and see what unfolds in the tactile world of mixed media printmaking.\nT
 his is a relaxed\, hands-on course for anyone who would like to make\, e
 xperiment and play with print. You don’t need previous printmaking exp
 erience\, just curiosity and a willingness to see what happens when ink\
 , paper\, texture and image come together.\n\nOver five weeks\, you’ll
  explore a variety of accessible printmaking processes\, including monot
 ype\, collagraph\, woodcut and linocut printing\, before bringing them t
 ogether through layering\, collage and mixed media techniques.\n\nThereâ
 €™s no pressure to make something "perfect". Instead\, we’ll slow down
 \, experiment with materials and discover the happy accidents that make 
 printmaking so magical.\n\nWhat we’ll explore\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nWeek 1: Mo
 notype - marks and found textures\nTo begin we'll start with simple\, im
 mediate ways to make marks and textures\, using found materials\, stenci
 ls and everyday objects.\n\nWeek 2: Intaglio Drypoint - using metal plat
 es and tetrapak cartons\nWe’ll explore the beautiful\, expressive qual
 ities of drypoint. You’ll learn how to draw into a printing plate\, cr
 eating fine lines\, rich textures and soft\, velvety marks. We’ll expe
 riment with inking and wiping techniques before printing our plates onto
  a variety of papers.\n\nWeek 3: Relief Printing - woodcut and lino\nDev
 elop a simple image and learn the basics of relief printing\, experiment
 ing with repetition\, layering and ink effects.\n\nWeek 4: Layer\, Cut a
 nd Combine - playful prints\nWe’ll bring our different prints together
  through mixed media techniques.\n\nWeek 5: Make a Series\nA look back a
 t everything we’ve made\, selecting favourite pieces and developing a 
 small collection of 'finished' prints (or starting points) that feel con
 nected and uniquely yours.\n\nThis is space to make without rushing\n\nT
 he course is designed to feel welcoming\, unhurried and experimental.\n\
 nYou’ll have plenty of time to explore each process\, with demonstrati
 ons and friendly guidance throughout. There will be opportunities to sha
 re ideas and discoveries with the group\, but also plenty of quiet time 
 to get absorbed in making.\n\nWhether you’re completely new to printma
 king or already have some experience\, you’ll be encouraged to follow 
 your own ideas and work at your own pace.\n\nYou’ll go home with…\n\
 nA collection of experimental prints\, layered papers and mixed media pi
 eces\, plus new techniques\, fresh ideas and hopefully the urge to keep 
 printing.\n\nYou don’t need to arrive with a fully formed idea. We’l
 l discover where the work wants to go together.\n\n\n\nImportant informa
