Date: Sunday 23rd Aug Time: 10.00 am – 12.00 pm. Location: The Chains, opposite The Londis, High St, Great Bedwyn, SN8 3NU.
The group walk this month will start from the village centre and head to the end of Church St and Hatchet Lane. The last time we planned a walk along Hatchet Lane it had to be re-routed because of flooding in February. It’s hard to remember that now but who knows what the conditions be like when these heatwaves end!
The walk will continue through the shade of Stock Common and then along a private driveway, with kind permission of the landowner, to reach more shade in Chisbury Wood from where we will head downhill back to the village.
No stiles, no steep ascents. The majority of the route is on good tracks. Tick protection recommended.
Bring a drink or snack for our short refreshment break. Dogs on leads please
